The Nisshin OilliO Group positions the internal control system responding to the internal control system reporting system stipulated under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and fulfillment of corporate social responsibility (CSR) as important factors, and moves ahead on strengthening the internal control system under the Basic Policy. We have submitted an Internal Control Report and Internal Control Audit Report together with the Securities Report since June 2009.
Enhancement of the internal control system will lead to enhancing the corporate value and competitiveness of The Nisshin OilliO Group by raising the reliability of financial reporting and in terms of operational effectiveness and efficiency, transparency, compliance, risk management and Group governance.
The internal control system is "incorporated into the business activities of all people comprising The Nisshin OilliO Group, and is a system that must be understood and implemented by each and every individual." People fully recognize this matter and each and every individual takes the initiative in operating a more effective and efficient internal control system.
The Internal Control Committee has been established to promote maintenance and strengthening of the entire Group's internal control system operations, and the Internal Audit Office has been established to evaluate and report on the status of maintenance and operation of internal control. Moreover, each department manager and subsidiary representative appoints a person responsible for promotion of internal control, creating a promotional system to instill a more effective and efficient internal control system.
Maintenance and operation of the internal control system is implemented continuously with a focus on internal control evaluation based on the internal control reporting system. For internal control regarding operational processes in particular, reviews of the system are carried out with a focus on raising operational effectiveness and efficiency through key control evaluations.
